Actions and Results
- Build and develop the QA organization to support the growth and diversification of the business
- Develop a long term plan for growing and maturing the QA organization
- Guide the development of all QA processes across the organization
- Lead the development of all aspects of quality assurance including new product testing, regression testing, automation and load testing
- Support the operations team in the validation of multiple sites including disaster recovery and secondary sites
- In coordination with the operations and database teams, develop a plan for building and developing programs to measure and validate system capacity
Skills and Experience
Required:
- B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent discipline
- 15+ years experience as QA professional, with at least 10 years in a leadership role
- Excellent communication skills and customer oriented focus, with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization from individual contributor to Senior Executive
- Experience working for a SaaS company
- Experience leading a large (25+) QA organization
- Experience testing large-scale, database driven websites
- Detailed technical knowledge of multi-tier/multi-site internet systems
- In depth understanding of distributed systems and how to evaluate performance and stability across these systems
- Deep experience with load, stress, black box and white box testing
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with all departments to achieve and meet tight deadlines
- Outstanding organization skills
- Experience managing outsourced and offshore teams
- Strong background in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience with Agile Software Development methodologies
- Direct experience with QA automation tools (Selenium)
Skills and Experience
Desired:
- Direct, recent experience testing disaster recovery sites and multi-site applications
- Direct experience building and developing multi-site QA teams
- Strong grasp of Internet technologies including HTTP, HTML, JSP and Java
